One of the stories carried in the media in the past weeks was the enormous success of the Bible app called You Version.
I use it extensively, both on my phone and on my home speaker where I listen to the bible.
Turns out – so do a lot of people around the world. Users of the app this year read 35.6 billion Bible chapters – yes ‘B’ for billion!! More, they shared 478 million verses.
The most popular verse of the year (from the New Testament) is Philippians 4:6, which states: ‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.’
The Bible continues to be a hugely influential book no matter where it is read – try it yourself, onscreen or in print.
