No one born gay, says Camille Paglia

A scandal has erupted over controversial comments by well-known lesbian activist Camille Paglia – comments that were turned into a social media meme that subsequently went viral.  Paglia is quoted as saying:

Homosexuality is not normal. On the contrary, it is a challenge to the norm.  Nature exists whether academics like it or not … Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction.  No one is born gay.  The idea is ridiculous.  Homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait.

Tasmanian gay activist Rodney Croome condemned the comments, calling them a myth and saying they were “dangerous to the well-being of same-sex attracted young people.”

Ms Paglia also referred to “the potentially pernicious intermingling of gay activism with science, which produces more propaganda than truth. Gay scientists must be scientists first.”

We couldn’t agree more.  As Jesus himself said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
