Christian golfer praises God after win

American golf champion Bubba Watson has praised God after winning his second green jacket in three years with a three-stroke Masters win at Augusta National on Monday.

Christian Today news reports the 35-year old Christian beat Jonas Blixt, Jordan Spieth, and other top players to clinch the title at 8-under par.  Watson first won a green jacket in 2012.  He is only the 17th golfer to win more than one Masters tournament.

Following his win, Watson thanked fans for their support, encouraging words and congratulations.  He said, “I feel incredibly blessed.”  He is more interested in being an active follower of Jesus Christ than a flashy celebrity.  He says:

My hope in giving back is that others would be inspired to do the same, but in their own way and for causes that they care for deeply.  Together we can all make a difference in the lives of others.
