Man-woman marriage best for kids

For Warwick Marsh, from Dads4Kids, “Marriage is the internationally recognised institution that holds the natural biological family of a mother and father together in the bonds of love, to protect the right of the child to equal nurturing and care from both the male and female gender of the child’s natural biological family.”

In a media release following the High Court decision, Mr Marsh said, “To deprive a child of either their mother or father, is to deprive that child of their natural biological birthright. To deprive a child of this right by redefining marriage is the greatest act of discrimination imaginable.”

And Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said, “Marriage between a man and a woman is good for society and beneficial for governments to uphold in legislation.  It’s about providing a future for the next generation where they can be raised by their biological parents, wherever possible.”
