Keep marriage as nature defines it

During last year’s federal parliamentary debate on same sex marriage, the Australian Christian Lobby and other mainstream Christian voices expressed the view that the introduction of same sex marriage would inevitably lead to a push for polygamous or polyamorous “marriage equality.”

The proposal was decisively rejected by both Houses of Parliament, and the debate was forced on the states.

The recent establishment of the Polyamory Action Lobby, led by Greens activists, suggests the Christians were right and the grand plan really is to destroy the meaning and significance of marriage as we know it from our culture and heritage.

“Once you cross the threshold of redefining marriage away from its natural meaning, you cannot in all honesty hope to stop further redefinition,” ACL managing director Jim Wallace said on Tuesday. “You either keep marriage as nature defines it, or lose it.”

I hope the honourable members of the NSW Parliament are listening.
